There are approximately 285 million people worldwide that live with low vision and blindness who cannot participate in day-to-day activities and are unable to earn their livelihood due to poor eye sight or temporary blindness. This country wide tour is to help restore sight to as many people as possible.
Your support and donations can help blind and partially sighted people experience the world with their own eyes. With your support these people can educate themselves and earn their livelihoods. Al-Mustafa Welfare trust has been involved in setting up free eye camps on an emergency basis in many developing countries since its formation. Our free eye camps have been previously setup in the following countries:
- Pakistan
- Nigeria
- Bangladesh
- Palestine
- Somalia
- Kashmir
Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust has carried out over 5,000 eye operations in 2012-2013. Our target for 2014 is achieving 10,000 eye operations to those that need it the most. A cataract operation costs as little as £35 per person. The "Gift of Vision" Country Tour will help us achieve this target and help make a difference to many people in the developing world.
Our Tour Dates are as follows:
London - Sunday 9th February
Birmingham - Friday 21st February
Manchester - Friday 28th February
Blackburn - Friday 7th March
Bradford - Saturday 8th March
Leicester - Sunday 9th March

+44(0)207 234 5758/59 or call our donation hotline: +44(0)208 5696 444. Alternatively, you can make a donation online.
Our TV Campaign Goal for Somalia:
Today we want to raise more vital funds to distribute fresh clean water to the people of Somalia. Help us provide clean water via:
1,000 water wells - the more the better. Without water people cannot survive so it is vital we setup as many water wells as possible!
Water Tank - each tank contains 8,000 litres of clean water that can support 16,000 people for 1 day
How much will it cost?
£500 for 1 water well on your name on a placard + feedback
£300 for 1 water tank
Current Water Situation in Somalia:
Currently the people of Somalia are having to drink, bathe and do ablution using dirty contaminated water. The scarcity of clean water is unparallel - and without clean water more and more people will die from dehydration as well as water-borne diseases. 80% of diseases are due to polluted water so please help us provide as many water wells and water tanks to the people of Somalia. We are already reducing the costs of building water wells by getting the local communities to participate and dig the wells so we can implement as many water wells as possible!
