AMWT relief operation for flood victims in Pakistan


LAHORE: Al Mustafa Welfare Trust (AMWT) relief operation was in progress for the flood victims of Sindh. The organization set up free medical camps and Wwas distributing cooked food among the affected families.

Chairman AMWT Abdul Razzaq Sajid said that relief operation was going on under the supervision of Haji Hanif Tayyeb. He said AMWT is distributing cooked food among 2500 persons on daily basis, while a mechanical tandoor (oven) with the capacity of preparing 1000 roti (bread) will also start functioning in Nawabshah soon. Abdul Razzaq Sajid said that a medical team consists on doctors and six ambulances were also providing medical treatment to the flood affected families in Badin, the most affected district in Sindh. AMWT chairman further said that nine relief teams were providing cooked food in Badin, Sanghar, Nawab Shah, Mirpur and other affected areas. He said a large number of people have also been shifted in Karachi and they were taking shelter in school buildings with the support of Al Mustafa.
