Sindh Floods Appeal September 2011



During last 27 days, intense and scattered heavy rainfall has caused flooding in seven districts and almost 155 union councils in Sindh according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). The current situation in Sindh is as follows:

·       Flooding has killed about 200 people
·       destroyed or damaged nearly one million houses and flooded 4.2 million acres of land since late August
·       4 million people are homeless
·       1 million houses have been destroyed

Our Initiatives
Free Medical Camp
Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust organized Free Medical Camp at the rainstorm affected area of Badin. Dr. Atif, Dr. Zeenat and Dr. Ayesha did around 250 OPDs. Ahmed Raza Tayyab, Asif Iqbal and other staff and volunteers of Al-Mustafa were present there on 26th August, 2011
Relief Activities
Also we have managed to help 10,000 people to reach to safe areas.
We have distributed the food items and other items such as blankets and shelter tents to 30,000 people in various areas of Sindh.
Our packages to help the flood victims

Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust are looking for urgent donations to help provide the following to a further 100,000 flood victims:
·  £55 for food for one family for one month which includes rice, flavour, sugar, Tea, cooking oil
·  £150 for shelter tent and  blankets and other household items for one family to stay in camps
·  £1000 for one free medical camp which will serve 1,000 patients
